  
Located in Qingdao City in Shandong Province, Laoshan Scenic Area is 1,133 meters above sea level, adjoins the Yellow Sea, and boasts an area of about 300 square kilometers. It abounds with exotic rocks and grotesque stones, as well as luxuriantly green trees. With peaks rising one upon another and gullies with streams flowing through, as well as the neighboring sea to the south-east, it is gifted with a great number of fascinating scenic spots and historical sites. Only Mount Laoshan pulls out in the seashore all over the mountains. An old fable reports that Emperor Chin Shihhuang and HanWu came to worship here. Mount Laoshan is famously loaded with many Taoist Temples, for example, the "Imperial Palace Eight View 72 Huts" with more than a thousand Taoist priests.

The main peak is 1132.7 meters above sea level and is the highest peakalong the 18,000 km Chinese coastline .Mount Lao Scenic Arewa is a national park featuring mountains, sea, forest, springs and waterfalls. Mount Lao is also one of the main cradles of Taoism.
