Qingdao Sightseeing Island is located within the beautiful scenic area in Julin Park with an elevation of 116 meters on top of Taiping Peak. The tower height is 232 meters and the altitude is 348 meters.
This tower is built of steel structure. It possessed unique steel and iron structure and was reputed as the first in China. According to its synthesis function and design, it was assessed as ¡°the first Chinese steel tower¡± by the State Council research and development centre.
The total area occupied by the tower is 5,821 square meters. It is the highest point among the scenic sites in Qingdao. Tourists may visit various themes of tower display, observes the far distance view and watching sunrise and so on.
