Marshall Tower is located at No.17, Shanhai Pass Road in Qingdao of Shandong Province. It is a two storeys Japanese style building. In China¡¯s ten generalissimos; Xu Xiangqian, Luo Ronghuan, Peng Dehuai, Liu Bocheng, He Long and Ye Jianying and so on six marshals successively stayed here before and it was therefore called "the marshal building". In front of the building is a beautiful garden. Although the garden is not big, there is actually artificial lake and hill and bamboo shade. There are only two levels in the building and are equipped with 3 apartments. They are western-style; Chinese type and Japanese type respectively. What is especially worth mentioning is; on the Japanese type apartment wall is a piece of prunus pseudocerasus wood. According to Japanese textually researches, the age of the wood of the tree is at least over a thousand year old. Many people crack a joke saying that visitors who stay in this room for one night can prolong their lifes.
